Road Using Fiberand Road Fibers and Technology Takes NAPA's Top Honor Again in 1999

    NAPA's 1999 Sheldon G. Hayes Award went to Fiberand customer - Couch Construction, LP of Shalimar, Florida - for its work on Interstate 10 in Florida. Fiberand Road Fibers and technology were used in the friction course (FC-5 Mix), which is similar to Georgia's D-Modified OGFC mix design. This is the second Sheldon G. Hayes Award to be given to a Fiberand customer in the past 4 years. The first was given to Anderson Columbia of Lake City, Florida back in 1996 for its work on the I-75 Project in Lowndes County, Georgia.

    In the past six years, contractors using Fiberand Road Fibers and technology have garnered over 32 of NAPA's Quality in Construction Awards. These awards, which are presented to contractors and owners of exemplary quality pavements, are identified and judged upon, on a national basis, by NAPA judges.

   According to TRIP, Georgia ranked number 1 nationally, for the 7th year in a row, with the lowest percentage of major roads with pavements in poor condition. Georgia contractors are our biggest customers!
